The Music Department at Eagle Ridge continues to offer students the choice of chorus, string orchestra and band in 6th, 7th and 8th grade, guitar in 7th and 8th grade, and music lab in grade 6. Additionally, interested students can play in the Eagle Ridge Jazz Band. This year the jazz band has been the highest profile ensemble at Eagle Ridge, having played for community events throughout Loudoun County. In May, the 8th grade guitar ensemble, chorus, strings, band, and jazz band traveled to Hershey park to compete in the Music Showcase Festival. Eagle Ridge’s Music Department won 17 trophies collectively, which is an outstanding accomplishment.
