Mrs. Segerson is a native of the Washington, D.C. area and lives with her husband and children in Loudoun County. She loves traveling, walking, reading, boating, and her favorite hobby, shark tooth hunting. This is her twelfth year teaching in Loudoun County. She has a B.A. from the University of Richmond, a Master of Arts from Southern Seminary, and a J.D. from the University of Virginia. She also has a Gifted and Talented Endorsement. This is her third year as a Gifted Education Resource Teacher at Buffalo Trail. Before coming to Loudoun County, she spent 9 years teaching kindergarten for the City of Virginia Beach Public Schools. While working in Loudoun, she taught for 5 years at Pinebrook Elementary School, 3 years as a classroom teacher at Buffalo Trail Elementary School, and one year as a Gifted Education Resource Teacher at Sugarland and Sully Elementary Schools.
